These terms apply to this website and to your visit to Ophelia's at 388 Broadway, Albany, NY 12207 ("Ophelia's," "we," "us"). By using the site or entering the venue, you agree to them.
1. Age requirement
Ophelia's is a 21+ venue. You must be at least 21 years old to enter and to purchase or consume alcohol. A valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID is required at the door and at the bar. We may refuse entry or service to anyone, and we will not serve anyone who appears intoxicated. This website is intended for people 21 and older.
2. Events and bookings
Event dates, times, lineups and specials are subject to change without notice. Submitting a booking request does not confirm a booking; a booking is confirmed only when we confirm it with you directly. Booking the venue carries no rental fee; any other terms (headcount, timing, food or drink arrangements) are agreed separately.
3. Conduct
We may remove anyone who is disruptive, unsafe or violates house rules or the law. Guests are responsible for their own belongings. Please drink responsibly and arrange a safe ride home.
4. Photos and video
We photograph and film events for our website and social media. By attending, you agree that you may appear in that content. If you'd rather not be featured, tell a staff member or contact us and we'll remove it where we reasonably can.
5. Website content
Our name, logo, photos and copy belong to Ophelia's and may not be reused without permission. Links to Instagram, Facebook, Google and other sites are provided for convenience; we aren't responsible for their content or practices.
6. Limitation of liability
The site is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, Ophelia's is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the site.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.

What we collect
- Booking requests: booking type, act or group name, your name, email, phone, occasion, preferred date, genre or headcount, and your message.
- Job applications: name, email, phone, position, nights you can work, experience, and confirmation that you're 21 or older.
- Press and creator requests: name, handle or outlet, and email.
- How you found us: with each form we also record the page you first landed on, the site that sent you, and any campaign tags in the link (such as utm_source, gclid, fbclid or msclkid).
- Analytics, only if you accept cookies: pages visited and general device and browser information through Google Analytics.
Who handles it
This site is hosted by Netlify, Inc. Form submissions are received and stored by Netlify Forms and emailed to us at opheliasalbany@gmail.com. If you accept analytics cookies, Google LLC processes analytics data for us. The events calendar is shown from Google Calendar.
How we use it
- To respond to booking requests and plan your event.
- To respond to job applications and press or creator requests.
- To understand which pages and ads bring people to us.
- To keep the site working and secure.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers named above, and when required by law.
Retention
We keep booking requests, applications and press requests only as long as we need them for those purposes, then delete them.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information by emailing opheliasalbany@gmail.com, calling 518.587.1300, or messaging us on Instagram or Facebook. You can change your cookie choice at any time with "cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.
Age
This site is intended for people 21 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21.

Cookies we use
- Essential: remember your cookie choice, your light or dark mode setting, and how you arrived (campaign tags) so we can include it with a form you send. These stay in your browser.
- Analytics (only if you click Accept): Google Analytics counts visits and shows which pages are popular. Nothing from Google loads until you accept.
- Third-party: the Google Calendar on our events page, and links to Instagram, Facebook and Google Maps, may set their own cookies under their own policies.
Your choice
Click Accept or Reject on the cookie banner. Reject removes any Google Analytics cookies already set. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a Reject. You can change your mind any time with "cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.

We want everyone to be able to use this site. It aims to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA.
- Every page works with a keyboard alone, starting from a "skip to content" link.
- Text meets AA contrast in both dark and light mode.
- Images have text descriptions and form fields have labels.
- Animations, including the loading screen, turn off when your device's reduce-motion setting is on.
